Several times in the last years, the request for high desks to work in standing position was expressed. Especially during long learning periods, changing the position gives you more comfort. In addition, the TU representative for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses [4] asked us to set up barrier-free workplaces.
We were able to realize both demands: In our reading room, two electrically height-adjustable tables and ergonomic office chairs are now available.
The other TU libraries also provide special workplaces and services for handicapped people. More information can be found here [5].
Study in Berlin with an impairment
The Facebook group is open to all students and prospective students with a disability, chronic or mental illness who live or plan to live in Berlin.
Anyone may post content, it does not have to be directly relevant to the study, but can also have to do with the topic in general, serve for a common exchange, etc.
