Accessibility and a barrier-free campus

Half of the buildings at the Technical University are more or less fully accessible to wheelchair users, but they are not completely barrier-free in the sense that they are open to everyone, regardless of any disability. The TU endeavours to make the university barrier-free. Many buildings have already been converted, much remains to be done. If you cannot get into the lecture hall where your event is taking place because it is not wheelchair accessible, the event will of course be moved to an accessible room. Send me an email: janin.dziamski@tu-berlin.de or call me at (030) 314 25 607.
You can also find out in advance whether your lecture or lecture
halls are barrier-free, what the technical equipment is and which
route you should take with the wheelchair if there is a special
access.
We recommend that you personally explore the faculty and
institutes, lecture halls and campus right from the start of your
studies. It makes a difference whether you find information on the
Internet or in brochures or find out for yourself how far away the
buildings are and how much time you need from lecture hall to lecture
hall.
After making an appointment, you can combine your
consultation at the Representative for Students with Disabilities with
an orientation tour.
On the following pages, however, you
can already get a comprehensive picture of the accessibility of the TU
lecture halls and buildings online.
